Born in New York to French parents, I am fully bilingual and bicultural. My love for well-made clothes that last and tell a story is truly what keeps me going - and I love writing about it.

My passion for bespoke and craftsmanship comes from 10+ years working in costume, luxury fashion and bridal couture. I was already wearing handmade and vintage clothes in high school - way before it was cool!

When I moved to London in 2005, after studying translation, it wasn’t long before I started working in theatre. I discovered the magic of storytelling through costume. I was delighted to find that costumes were usually well made, so they could withstand the stress of multiple performances - and performers! At the Royal Opera House, after finishing my degree in Costume design, I learned how to lovingly maintain and restore costumes, prolonging their life and allure.

This, added to an awareness of the waste problem in fashion and entertainment, led to Sail the Seven Seas, my capsule collection of clothes made from upcycled uniforms.

Later, a long stint as a tailor in upscale department stores Selfridges and Harrods, helped me build expertise in alterations and mending.

Moving forward, I want to continue researching and advocating for circular fashion, as an Educator and Writer. Now is the time to appreciate and promote meticulous craftsmanship, skilled artisans and the many ways clothes can be cared for!

Thanks! I'll get in touch soon.
